A home watch audit (or inspection/visit, depending on the verbiage used) includes a basic services checklist that begins before we pull into the driveway. We have gladly provided special services depending on the client and their needs – happy to!
Below are some examples of things we’ll provide in our report:
- How’s the roof and chimney looking from a distance? Any visible damage or indication of problems?
- MAIL STATUS! USPS isn’t perfect, but we’ll clear out the box and area around it to be safe (PO Box needs? We got you).
- We will provide many pictures of the home from numerous angles and check out the window wells and foundation for evidence of critters
- Maybe a giant branch fell in that windstorm the other day. No worries, we’ll drag it out of sight
- If we enter the home through the garage, we will still check the front porch area for flyers, packages, debris, etc.
- Has the landscape company been there recently to plow or mow or weed?
- Inside, what’s the thermostat reading?
- HVAC Filter need changing? Don’t have any? We’ll grab them at the store.
- It’s an Arctic freeze outside, and the faucet pipes should get heat from the home to prevent them from bursting. Let’s open up those cabinets
- Are any small appliances still plugged in? A fire hazard. On it.
- Is that sump pump working as it should? Got 3 days of rain coming, let’s test it with a bucket of water to ensure it drains correctly.
